State police at the Fogelsville barracks reported the following incidents:
• A 33-year-old New Tripoli man is the victim of a theft by deception/wire fraud incident police are investigating.
The man, who lives off Route 309 in Lynn Township, went to the barracks at 8:45 a.m. Jan. 7 to report the incident.
He told police his information was compromised during an Internet fraud scheme and was “scammed” out of $59,540.
• A 48-year-old Saylorsburg man was charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance after police made a traffic stop at 11:57 a.m. Nov. 26 on Route 309 in Upper Saucon Township.
He was stopped in a 2019 Honda Accord. Police found he was in possession of marijuana and took him into custody for DUI without incident.
