State police at the Fern Ridge barracks reported the following accidents:
• David S. Meckes, 61, of Albrightsville, was uninjured in a one-vehicle crash at 9:09 p.m. Jan. 12 on Route 534 in Penn Forest Township.
Police said he was driving a 2015 Volkswagen Tiguan north on Meckesville Road when he attempted to turn left onto Route 534 and the vehicle left the roadway, striking a group of large rocks on the northbound shoulder.
The Tiguan had to be towed from the scene.
• Police investigated a hit-and-run crash at 5:44 p.m. Jan. 11 on Interstate 80 in Kidder Township.
They said a vehicle traveling east changed laned and struck a 2025 Rivian Automotive Group vehicle operated by David F. Markel, 57, of Sparta, New Jersey, and proceeded eastbound without stopping.
• Ian M. Sterling, 30, of Jim Thorpe, was uninjured on a one-vehicle crash at 6:48 a.m. Jan. 11 on Route 903 in Penn Forest Township.
Police said he was driving a 2005 Ford F350 northbound when it began to “fishtail” and lose traction and slid across the southbound lane, traveled off the road and struck a ditch. Police said the vehicle overturned and struck a tree before coming to rest on its passenger’s side.
The vehicle had disabling damages and was towed from the scene.
