State police at the Pocono barracks reported Mina Ayad Roman, 40, of Hatfield, was cited for failure to drive at a safe speed following a two-vehicle mishap at 9:51 p.m. Dec. 26 at mile marker 68 in Washington Township.

Police said he sustained suspected minor injuries in the mishap and was transported by personnel from the Cetronia Ambulance Corps to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest Campus, Salisbury Township.

Police said the crash occurred when he was driving a 2011 Toyota Prius that struck a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee operated by Jeffrey D. Coker, 53, of Felton, Delaware, as both vehicles were southbound and the Jeep spun into both lanes.

Coker and a passenger were uninjured.
