Monroe County crashes

State police at the Stroudsburg barracks reported the following crashes:

• John P. Struble, 30, of Albrightsville, was uninjured in a one-vehicle crash at 7:15 a.m. Jan. 8 on Interstate 380 in Tobyhanna Township.

Police said he was driving a 2008 Nissan Versa northbound when a deer jumped from the median into the right lane directly in front of the car. After striking the deer, the car spun 180 degrees and came to rest in the center median.

It had disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

• Police said a vehicle left the scene of a crash at 5:20 p.m. Jan. 7 on Route 611 in Hamilton Township.

They said the crash occurred as Noah D. Smith, 39, of East Stroudsburg, was driving a 2015 Lexus northbound in the right traffic lane that was coming to an end.

When he moved into the left lane, the Lexus struck another vehicle. Police said the car that was struck left the scene.

The Lexus had minor damage.

• John E. Sullivan, 35, of Mount Pocono, is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance following a one-vehicle crash at 8:13 a.m. Dec. 27 on Rimrock Road, Hamilton Township.

Police said he sustained suspected minor injuries and was transported by personnel from the Lehigh Valley Health Network EMS corps to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Pocono Campus, East Stroudsburg.

Police said he lost control of his 2010 Land Rover, which left the roadway and hit a utility pole.

The vehicle had disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
