January 12, 1977 — A late Pleasant Valley spurt allows the Bears to pull out a 56-53 Centennial League comeback victory over visiting Northwestern. PV, which had trailed by seven at one point, use a 13-2 run that extends to the midway point of the fourth quarter to gain a seven-point advantage. Don Miller accounts for six of the points during the run and ends the contest with a game-high 23. The winners, coached by George Lutz, also receive 13 points from Kevin Possinger and eight from Mike Gould. For the Tigers, Scott Stoudt ends with a team-high 16 points.
