Michael Gaston was reappointed as council president in Walnutport, with Jennifer Wentz as vice president, at Monday’s borough council meeting.

Incumbents Patrice Hunsicker, David Wentling and Wentz were sworn in, along with new Councilwoman Nancy Treskot, Mayor Wayne Weidner and tax collector Kristie Wentling, by District Judge Robert A. Hawke.

Other appointments:

• Spotts, Stevens and McCoy, borough engineer.

• Corriere & Andres, borough solicitor.

• Scott Ledo, code enforcement officer.

• Sean Corey, zoning and building code officer.

• Confirm fire police for the Diamond Fire Company and the borough of Walnutport.

• Diamond Fire Company to engage in fundraising activities; participate in mutual aid with any fire company; and authorize the fire police to serve during nonemergency functions.

• Anderson & Assoc., to manage police and borough pension plan.

• HA Thomson to manage the borough’s insurance policies.

• Clark Hill PLC, labor counsel.
