Monroe man charged with corruption of minor

A Monroe County man has been charged with corruption of minors after attempting to solicit sexual contact with a minor, police said.

At 8:35 a.m. Saturday, the Pocono Mountain Regional Police were dispatched to meet with the group Bikers Against Predators at Kalahari Employee Housing at Pocono Manor.

The Bikers said they had confronted James Harden, 57, of Pocono Manor, about sexual conversation with who he believed to be a 13-year-old girl.

Bikers Against Predators provided the text communications and video regarding their complaint, which resulted in an independent investigation by the Pocono Mountain Regional Police.

Harden has been charged with obscene and other sexual materials and performances, criminal use of a communication facility and corruption of minors.

Harden was arraigned before District Judge Jamie Levy of Marshalls Creek. His request for bail denied.

Harden is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing Jan. 6.
