Rush Township supervisors approved the first payment for lighting at Ryan Park on Ye Olde Hauto Road.
During Monday’s meeting, supervisors voted to turn over $25,380 to MetroTek Electrical. The total cost of the project will be $73,900.
“That was money that was donated for Ryan Park’s lighting by an anonymous donor,” board Vice Chairman Robert Leibensperger said.
The donation, which was received in the summer, will cover the bulk of the work.
“We ran over by a little amount so some of it will come out of the infrastructure (fund),” Leibensperger said, estimating that about $9,000 will be taken from the fund.
The recently renovated park includes basketball, tennis and pickleball courts, as well as a disc golf course.
