The Carbon County Firemen’s Association met recently for purposes of electing officers to serve the organization in the next calendar year.

Members elected John Gometro to lead the association. The Nesquehoning resident will succeed Harry Wert of Lehighton as president.

Allen Farber of Bowmanstown was selected to serve as first vice president while the second vice president will be Scott Feller of Aquashicola.

Other officers for the new year will be Harry Wilkinson of Bowmanstown, recording secretary; Norman Schneck, financial secretary; Norman Benner, treasurer; and Corvin Solt, fire marshal. Schneck, Benner and Solt are all Lehighton residents.
