St. Peter’s — West Penn

The 9 a.m. Sunday service at St. Peter’s Church in West Penn will be followed by a 10:30 a.m. social time to say farewell and thank you to Pastor Cliff.

The church wishes all a very joyous and blessed New Year. The Jan. 4 service will have the Sacrament of Holy Communion and a Sunday School program.

Tamaqua Seniors

The Tamaqua Senior Citizens met on Dec. 18 with 22 members present.

President Jean Machamer opened the meeting with the invocation, “What is Christmas?,” read by a member. One member was welcomed back.

There will be brown bag lunches in January, February and March. Bingo and cards were played. The next meeting will be at 1 p.m. Jan. 8 at the Coaldale Complex. The group wished everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Luncheon

A Cozy Luncheon with Friends will be held at 11:30 a.m. Jan. 20 at Grace Free Church, 10 Hollenbush Lane, Orwigsburg. The event is sponsored by Schuylkill Women’s Connection and Stonecroft Ministries.

Speaker is Michele Williams of Friedensburg and music will be provided by Teresa Heller.
