A 78-year-old Walnutport man died following a car crash in the area of Route 873 and Venture Court in Washington Township on Thursday afternoon.

According to the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office, Gregg A. Henritzy was pronounced dead at 4:30 p.m. Thursday in the emergency department of Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest.

Henritzy was the driver of a vehicle that struck a utility pole.

In addition to the coroner’s office, the Pennsylvania State Police’s Bethlehem barracks is investigating the accident.
