The Carbon Career & Technical Institute Joint Operating Committee voted to accept the letter of resignation of CCTI Principal Michele Connors last week.

The letter was received Dec. 17 and is effective up to 60 days following that date. The letter was requested by the Times News but has not been made available.

Connors was hired on May 1 and began working July 1. She was hired at a salary of $85,000 and was set for an increase of $87,975 in the 2026-27 school year. Her reason for departure was not immediately available.

David Reinbold, CCTI administrative director, thanked Connors for all she has accomplished in her time at CCTI. Connors thanked the JOC and administration for the opportunity.
