Elsewhere, a pair of Panthers’ girls wrestlers captured titles at the Baguba Brawl at Elizabethtown Area High School over the weekend.
BOYS BASKETBALL
Salem Christian–Panther Vy.
A strong first half helped Panther Valley cruise to a 70-36 non-conference win over visiting Salem Christian.
Jake Moyer scored 17 of his game-high 21 points in the first half as the Panthers built a 49-21 halftime lead. Danny Wehr and Brody Breiner added 11 and 10 points, respectively.
Gavin Weigner led Salem Christian with 12 points.

Pleasant Valley–Stroudsburg
Pleasant Valley jumped out early, but couldn’t hold the lead as Stroudsburg rallied for a 49-42 Eastern Pennsylvania Conference victory.
The Bears led 17-4 after one quarter, but the Mounties outscored the hosts 32-17 after halftime to pull away.
Tae El-Bassiouni scored 11 of his game-high 18 points in the second half for Stroudsburg, while Jarel Jackson added seven of his 11 points down the stretch.
Jake Loch paced Pleasant Valley with a team-high 16 points, and Sebastian Sacci chipped in 13.

Northern Lehigh–Tamaqua
Millie Black recorded a double-double as Tamaqua defeated Northern Lehigh 45-32 in non-conference action.
Black finished with 13 points and 11 rebounds, while Kendle Miller led the Blue Raiders with 16 points. Lauren Ligenza added 11.
Tegan Simms scored a game-high 18 points for Northern Lehigh.

Panther Valley
at Baguba Brawl
Panther Valley finished with four medalists at the Baguba Brawl at Elizabethtown Area High School.
Alisa Williams captured gold at 170 pounds, and Brenda Banks won the 235-pound title. Anelia Bennick earned silver at 155 pounds, while Ashley Williams placed sixth at 155.
Hawkeye Holiday Classic
Palmerton and Pleasant Valley competed at the Hawkeye Holiday Classic at Hanover Area High School.
Pleasant Valley finished sixth as a team, while Palmerton placed seventh.
Josie Fetterman led the Lady Bears with a runner-up finish at 148 pounds. Emilynn Stipeck (142) and Hailey Marsh (190) each placed third. Sofia Amorim paced the Lady Bombers with a third-place finish.
Paige Kibbler (112) and Lea Schaible (142) added fourth- and fifth-place finishes, respectively. Jocelynn Cervenka (235, fifth) and Nickayla Tomsic (148, sixth) also earned medals.
