Services offered: As a family medicine clinician working at JeffExpress Urgent Care–Lehighton, Genteel offers a wide variety of services for infants to adults including rapid flu and strep testing, physicals, sick visits, flu vaccines and tetanus shots. He also offers treatment of minor injuries through this walk-in service which is open seven days a week.

Conditions treated: JeffExpress treats a host of conditions including minor cuts, sprains and strains, allergies, colds, viruses, nausea, sinus pain, eye irritation, ear pain, headaches and rashes.

Why he chose medicine as a career: “I entered health care motivated by a desire and a passion to impact and assist people when they are most in need,” Genteel says. He took care of patients in the emergency department for many years before moving into urgent care where he found fulfillment in helping others feel better.

About Corey Genteel: When he’s not treating patients, Genteel finds his greatest joy in spending time with his family. He also loves the outdoors, which he enjoys through camping, hiking, hunting, fishing and trips on his all-terrain vehicle.

He enjoys volunteering in his community of Kunkletown, Monroe County, in several capacities such as through his membership in the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks lodge and the Knights of Columbus.
