State police at the Frackville barracks are looking for the man who robbed a Rush Township business Monday night.

According to police, the armed robbery occurred at approximately 8:55 p.m. at Sam’s Place Lottery & Tobacco, 45 Plaza Drive.

They said that a white male brandishing a firearm entered the store, approached a clerk and demanded money from the cash register.

After receiving the money, the man fled on foot southbound toward the parking lot.

The suspect has been described as wearing a distinctive red and blue flannel jacket, gray sweatpants and black sneakers. He was also wearing black gloves, a black ski mask and a black hood, which was pulled over his head.

No injuries were reported.

State police are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact their criminal investigation unit at 570-874-5300.

They said information leading to an arrest may be eligible for a cash reward.
