LDI to host Hometown Vintage Christmas

Downtown Lehighton is about to turn into a magical holiday venue.

The Lehighton Downtown Initiative will host the traditional fourth Annual Hometown Vintage Christmas from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, said Bambi Elsasser, community operations manager of Lehighton Downtown Initiative.

Guests are urged to join them around the park with vendors, live music, food, over 50 crafters, Christmas trees in the park, free horse and wagon rides (limited availability), bounce house, activities and more.

“It will be a delightful day of Christmas shopping and enjoying the ambience of a small town at the holidays,” Elsasser said. “Vendors have been encouraged to decorate their stands to celebrate the traditional holiday spirit.”

Santa of Lehighton will visit to hear all of the children’s Christmas desires from around 12:30 through 4:30 p.m.

In addition, there will be an abundance of Christmas crafts and games for all the children to participate, with Santa joining in sometimes.

Live music will be performed by Eric Stimmler from noon to 2:30 p.m., followed by Angela Nardini from 2:30 to 5 p.m.

There also will be food from food trucks, and local nonprofits, along with plenty of hot chocolate available.
