A free community Christmas shopping event for parents will be held at Jerusalem Lutheran Evangelical Church, Trachsville, 500 Church Drive, Palmerton.

The event will be held from 1-3 p.m. Dec. 14. Shop for free stocking stuffers to surprise your children.

Stocking stuffer choices include toys, personal items, snacks and crafts. Pick two of each for your children ages 2-10.

Parents can take home a dozen homemade cookies as well.

Free gift wrapping will be available, and they will even wrap up to five previously purchased boxed items for you.

Register to win a free Christmas ham or turkey.

Cards will be available to sign and to add your own sentiment to thank our troops for their service. Leave them with the church, and they will mail them out.
