The Spirit of Christmas Festival Committee worked hard to extend the Christmas spirit in Tamaqua throughout December and is offering free carriage rides.

On Dec. 11, 12, 18 and 19, Leiby’s Horse Drawn Carriage rides will be offered from 5-8 p.m. to see the lights at Depot Square Park.

Rides will load and unload on South Railroad Street in the area of Tink’s Antiques. There will be nine trips each evening, and each trip can accommodate 16 people. Reservations are required. To reserve a seat, visit TamaquaArts.org.

Several business sponsors made the free rides possible this year. They include Bowe & Odorizzi Law Office, Boyle Electro Mechanical, Vince Boyle Team Century 21, Cellar Beast Winehouse, K.L. Herring, Hollenbach Home Comfort Services, Law Office of Christine A. Holman and the Owl Creek Reservoir Commission.
