Rich Strack, at left, presents Rod Heckman with the Bob Ford Memorial Grid Picks Champion trophy. Heckman won the 2025 Times News Grid Picks with a record of 152-27. The trophy is named after former Times News award-winning photographer Bob Ford, who passed away during the pandemic. Ford was a top-five finisher nearly every year in the Grid Picks standings and finished first in 2017 and 2013. Heckman’s title is his fifth since 2014. Strack won the award last season.
