The next meeting of the Northern Lehigh 250 Year Committee will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Vigilant Fire Company, 110 S. Walnut St., Slatington.

The focus of the Nov. 5 meeting was announcing the dates of the celebration, and the committee is looking for individuals to help plan the event. They are looking for civic groups, fire companies, Boy and Girl Scout Troops, bands and entertainers.

Volunteers are also needed to help sell food, do skits, comedy, dance, or run a game; set up displays such as historical, cars, and fire equipment.

The kickoff will be at the Slatington Farmer’s Market on May 15, 2026.

The main celebration will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. on May 16, 2026 at Bulldog Stadium, and Religious and History Day will be held on May 17, with times and locations to be announced at a later time.
