Tamaqua School Board reviews personnel moves, policy update

The Tamaqua Area School District Board of Education held its regular meeting on Nov. 18, during which members reviewed a number of personnel recommendations and policy items. The board conducted the second reading of Policy #202, which concerns the eligibility of nonresident students, and approved several coaching appointments for the 2025-26 school year. Among the hires were Jay Daubert as seventh-grade boys basketball coach; Joe Tamagini as JV boys basketball coach; Nicko Bolletino and Gabe Erbe as volunteer boys basketball coaches; Kyle Nothangel and Aiden Schlier as volunteer wrestling coaches; Jamie Hartz as a volunteer softball coach; and Marie Schock as head volleyball coach. Jennifer Schock (volunteer softball), Amanda Hascin (head cross-country), Clem McCarroll (head girls soccer), Jim McCabe (head boys soccer), Kathy Odorizzi (head tennis) and Matt Stine (head golf) were also approved. The board additionally ratified the appointment of Aaron Knepp as gaming coach.
