Monroe County Commissioners

The Monroe County commissioners approved the following items last week:

• Award Real Estate Tax Mailers for the 2026-2030 period (one bid received) — Spring Hill Laser — $63,768.08 with a 2.5% cost increase per year and postage must be received prior to mailing.

• Children and Youth Services: Amendments — Purchase of Service agreement dated Sept. 3 for Berks County, term July 1 to June 30, 2026, update rates for the current year; Purchase of Service agreement dated Aug. 20 for Adelphoi Village Inc., term July 1 to June 30, 2026.

• Children and Youth Services: Purchase of Service agreement, term July 1 to June 30, 2026, with Children’s Home of York, up to $130,000 for adoption and foster care services; In Arms Reach Childcare Services LLC, up to $275,000 for respite and emergency care; Homestead Family Services, up to $150,000 for diversion/family preservation. Young Lady Butterflies Corp., up to $300,000 for group home and CAI, up to $54,050 for fiscal consulting services.

• Local Workforce Development Board grant agreement between the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry and the Carbon County commissioners through June 30, 2029.

• Add these vendors to the County List of Approved Vendors — Emergency Management: Jared D. Whittaker and Rural Power Systems Inc. Aging: Juanita L. Harris. Purchasing: Brighter Days and Nites Inc. and Information Technology Services: Conference Technologies Inc.

• Domestic Relations — Ratify amendment with the Bureau of Child Support Enforcement to the cooperative agreement for 2025-2030.

• Fiscal/Grants — File a proposal for Fiscal Year 2026 Community Services Block Grant formula funding with the Department of Community and Economic Development and submit required forms with the proposal to DCED for FY26 Community Service Block Grant formula funding.

• Information Technology and Services: Ratify professional services proposal with Michael Baker International, $25,000, for GIS services, from Nov. 5 to Nov. 4, 2026.

• Monroe County Industrial Development Authority — Reappoint Dawn Hart to the Board, term to expire Dec. 31, 2029, and Gary Olson and Robert Hay, term to expire Dec. 31, 2030, and acknowledged Paul Canevari’s end of service on the board.

• Monroe County Redevelopment Authority — Ratify submittal of Delegation of Authority to state DCED for the CDBG programs.
