State police at the Frackville barracks were summoned to a murder-suicide on Friday at 12:27 p.m. in Ashland.

Police identified the deceased as Daniel Dugan Jr., 38, and Emerson C. Beacham, 37, both of 812 Pine St.

Police said their investigation determined the men became involved in an argument. They determined Beacham shot Dugan with a shotgun and then took his own life.

Police said the case was an isolated incident and no danger to the public existed.
