The region saw its first snowfall of the season Tuesday morning as snow squalls moved through during the morning hours. About a half-inch of snow was covering vehicles and streets in Summit Hill about 8 a.m. On Monday there were flurries for a brief time, but today was a reminder that we’re officially in the winter weather season. These photos were taken in the vicinity of the Summit Hill Borough Building on West Amidon Street. Temperatures should begin to rise later this week, with highs in the 50s and partly sunny weather.
