• The Tamaqua American Legion Post 173 will host its annual Veterans Day parade on Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. from the former Maff Motors on East Broad Street and will proceed west onto West Broad Street. A ceremony will follow the parade at the American Legion Post home, 206 W. Broad St.
• The Carbon County Veterans Council announced the annual Veterans Day parade will be held on Sunday with a rain date of Nov. 16. This year’s parade is hosted by the American Legion Post 314 and will be held in Lehighton starting at 2 p.m.
Lehighton UVO Commander Kevin “Spike” Long invites all residents to line the parade route to recognize and salute the veterans who have proudly worn our nation’s uniform and those who continue to protect our freedoms today.
• The Carbon County Veterans Affairs office, in conjunction with Carbon County, will hold its annual Veterans Day ceremony in Josiah White Park in Jim Thorpe at 9:15 a.m. on Monday.
All are welcome.
• American Legion Post 927, Gilbert, is hosting a Veterans Day Celebration and Ceremony from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday. It is open to the community and will include guest speakers. A light lunch will be provided.
• Polk Township will hold a veterans memorial ceremony at noon Tuesday.
