The Lehighton Downtown Initiative will host a holiday bingo and basket raffle to help support and fund community events and projects.

The Holiday Bingo and Basket Raffle will be held on Sunday at the Orioles Community Center, 475 Orioles Drive, Lehighton.

Bingo will begin promptly at 1 p.m. with doors opening at 11:30 a.m., and will consist of 20 regular games, with an additional five specialty games.

All bingo prizes will be holiday themed with regular games valued at $100, and the specialty game prizes are valued at $150 or more.

All bingo participants will be entered into a lottery wreath door prize. Tickets include all 25 games. Extra bingo boards, specials and daubers will be available for sale.

Basket raffle will be open to the public from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Those who are only doing the basket raffle are asked to use the door toward the back of the building.

They will also have food and drink for sale, a bake sale, 50/50 raffle, special raffles and more.

The LDI also has several projects it’s working on for the community, including, but are limited to:

• Sgt. Stanley Hoffman Beautification Project.

• Caboose Refurbishment and surrounding area.

• Future Project — Skyline Park Playground Project.
