The Weatherly American Legion Family Post 360 and Unit 360 will celebrate Veterans Day in a very special way.

In addition to attending the Veterans Day program at the Weatherly Area School District at 9 a.m. Nov. 11 they will proceed to the Memorial Monument in front of the Schwab High School on East Main and Spring streets for an 11 a.m. ceremony.

Following the ceremony there will be an “Extravaganza of Prizes” drawing held at noon at the Legion post home. Items included in the “Extravaganza of Prizes” include many gift cards, cash prizes and baskets of items that have been donated by businesses and members of the Legion family and community supporters. Tickets for the “Extravaganza of Prizes” are $5 each and are available from members of the Weatherly Legion family. All proceeds will be used for the support of the post’s veterans programs.

Everyone is welcome to attend for the drawing of the tickets. Winners do not need to be present to win, but people should retain their stub to claim prizes. All winners will be notified.
