Coaldale Borough Council acted on the following items during its monthly meeting last week.

• Set trick-or-treat night for 6-8 p.m. Oct. 31.

• Expects to adopt changes to its handicapped parking ordinance and parking ordinances at its November meeting.

• Noted that no bids were received for snow removal.

• Adopted its 2025 hazard mitigation plan as required each year by Schuylkill County.

• Accepted the resignation of Mary Ann Flyzik from the Lansford-Coaldale Joint Water Authority. Flyzik noted in her resignation letter that she had moved from the area.

Council thanked her and said that they had received some letters of interest for her vacated position. Council expects to fill the seat in November.

• Noted that the borough office will be closed on Election Day, Nov. 4.
