The Lehigh County coroner has identified the Weissport man who was found dead Sunday afternoon after barricading himself in a motel in Allentown.

Lehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio said Mica Kincaid, 62, was pronounced dead at 1:37 p.m. on-scene in a room at the Super 8 Hotel on Airport Road

Buglio said the cause of death is a gunshot wound, and ruled the manner of death as suicide.

He said an autopsy will be completed Tuesday, with toxicology testing to be included.

Buglio said Kincaid barricaded himself inside a room at the hotel with a firearm.

In addition to the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office, this incident is being investigated by the Troop M Criminal Investigation Unit.

Assisting at the scene were members of the Troop M Bethlehem Patrol Unit, the Allentown Police Department, and the Allentown Emergency Response Team.

No additional information will be released until after the scheduled autopsy.
