Fall events

• Quiet Valley Harvest Festival: Experience a glimpse of 19th-century farm life with costumed reenactors demonstrating skills like spinning and weaving on Saturday and Sunday. The event is located at Quiet Valley Living Historical Farm. Pony rides and live music will be featured. The farm museum is located at 347 Quiet Valley Road, Stroudsburg.

• Christ Evangelical Free Church annual fall harvest fair for kids ages 3 years old to sixth grade will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 22. Games, snacks and candy. The community is invited. Christ Evangelical Free Church is located at 2420 Blakeslee Blvd Dr. W, Lehighton.

• Chestnuthill Parks and Recreation, 4th Annual Halloween Spooktacular will be from 2 to 5 p.m. on Oct. 18. Rain date is Oct. 25. This community event offers family-friendly autumn activities, at Chestnuthill Park, Route 715, Brodheadsville. Past events have included tractor hay rides, pumpkin painting, food trucks, games, a trunk-or-treat, and a kids’ costume contest.

• The Great Pocono Pumpkin Festival: Country Junction’s festival runs daily through Oct. 26. This family-friendly event includes hayrides, a petting zoo, and pumpkin picking. Country Junction is at 6565 Interchange Road, Lehighton

• The Electrifying Jack-O-Lantern Experience, a Halloween-themed festival at the West End Fairgrounds features hand-carved pumpkins, food trucks, and fire pits. It is open Thursdays through Sundays now through Nov. 1 at the fairgrounds, 570 Fairground Road, Gilbert. Tickets online only: www.electrifyingjackolanterns.com.

• Oktoberfest, presented by Lehigh Valley International Airport, has returned for its 15th year this weekend at the ArtsQuest Campus at SteelStacks, 101 Founders Way, Bethlehem. Hours are from 5 to 10 p.m. Friday, noon to 10 p.m. Saturday, and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday. This celebration brings German traditions to life with a modern Lehigh Valley twist: with bratwurst, strudels and smoky BBQ, plus four biergartens and the Brewers’ Village serving up award-winning brews, quirky competitions.

• Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom Halloween Haunt runs through Nov. 2. This year’s Halloween Haunt features seven haunted mazes, five immersive scare zones, thrilling rides like Iron Menace and Steel Force under the stars, seasonal food and beverages, and live entertainment. Recommended for ages 13 and older, with bonus Sundays on Oct. 12, 19, 26 and Nov. 2. Located at 3830 Dorney Park Road, Allentown.

• Blue Mountain’s Fright Time Zip & Climb will be held Saturday and Oct. 18, 24 & 25. Tickets and info: skibluemt.com/fright-zip-climb/.

Halloween parades

• The Andreas Halloween Parade is at 7 p.m. Wednesday,, rain date on Thursday.

• Palmerton Halloween parade is scheduled for Oct. 19, beginning at 4 p.m.

• The 30th annual Jim Thorpe Lions Club Halloween Parade will be held on Oct. 25. The parade begins at 2 p.m. lineup starts at 1 p.m. at the Jim Thorpe High School. The rain date for the parade is Oct. 26. Registration deadline for the parade is Oct. 20. Call 570-325-4104 for more information.

• The Northern Lehigh Halloween Parade will be at 5 p.m. on Oct. 25. The new parade route includes the Northern Lehigh campus and surrounding areas. Registration is open, text 484-619-0140 or email nlhalloweenparade@yahoo.com to have a registration form sent to you.

• Weatherly Area Community Chest’s annual Halloween Parade will be on Oct. 25. Registration starts at 1 p.m. at Tweedle Park on High Street and parade begins at 2 p.m. Participants should not park in the area in front of the park. Rain date is Oct. 26. • Tamaqua Halloween Parade, 7 p.m. on Oct. 28.

Trunk or treats

• Panther Valley Intermediate School PTO will hold a trunk or treat from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Sunday in the parking lot. There will be concession stands with snacks and drinks. Candy donations and trunks are needed. If you want to host a trunk to give out candy, email panthervalleyintermediatepto@gmail.com.

• Polk Township Fire Company parking lot in the back will be set up for Trunk or Treat on Oct. 27. Costumed kids and their families will go around collecting candy and treats.

• Kinsley’s Shoprite Spooktacular, 3 to 5 p.m. on Oct. 26, arts and crafts, face painting, pony rides, treat bags, costume contest. 107 Kinsley Drive, Brodheadsville.

• The annual Trunk or Treat at Nesquehoning Hose Co. 1, 953 E. Catawissa St., will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Oct. 25. To sign up your car for the event, call 484-464-8062.

• The Hometown Volunteer Fire Department will host a trunk-or-treat at 5 p.m. on Oct. 31 at the 45 Mahanoy Ave. (Route 54) station. Anyone wishing to participate with a vehicle should text 570-952-5383.

• Trunk or treat will be held at the park from 1 to 3 p.m. on Oct. 26 in Rush Township. There will be prizes for the best decorated vehicle and pumpkin decorating for the kids. Sign up on the Township’s Facebook page or website if decorating a car.

• Dress up the kids and enjoy a safe, festive night of trick-or-treating at Heritage Hill Senior Community on Friday from 4:30 to 6 p.m. on Oct. 24, at 800 Sixth St., Weatherly.
