State police at the Frackville barracks are investigating a criminal homicide case in Frackville.

Police said the body of Natalie Peleschak, 55, was discovered inside the residence on South Center Street and was pronounced dead by a representative of the Schuylkill County Coroner’s Office.

Police were summoned there at 12:06 a.m. Saturday for a report of a female gunshot wound victim.

They found Andrew Peleschak, 56, who was arrested and taken into custody without incident, later being airlifted to the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, for medical treatment.

Police said Natalie Peleschak sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
