Vinny Vella and his wife Lauren Schneiderman welcomed their first child, Nicolas Miles Vella, on Aug. 14, 2025.

Vella is a former Times News intern and Philadelphia Inquirer journalist, while Schneiderman is a photojournalist with the Inquirer.

Nico is the grandson of Vince and Linda Vella of Kresgeville.
