Local Roundup: Results from Sept. 22
Hayden Meckes, Devlin Moyzan and Marta Perry all had big offensive games to help lead their soccer teams to wins on Monday.
Meckes scored four goals in Jim Thorpe’s win over Lincoln Leadership, while Moyzan finished with three in a victory against Catasauqua. Perry also tallied three times as Pleasant Valley downed Dieruff/Allen.

Catasauqua-Palmerton
Devlin Moyzan registered a hat trick and added an assist to help Palmerton earn a 5-0 Colonial League win over Catasauqua.
Brody Wells finished with a pair of assists for the Bombers, while Colton Ruzicka and Wyatt Spalding both scored goals.
Palmerton keeper Kurt Jedrejczyk grabbed five saves to earn the shutout victory.

Gormley stopped all 19 shots the Spartans took on net.
Gabby Chistakoff provided the game’s only goal with 7:52 remaining. Katie Fredericks and Shaylee Gormley both assisted on the game-winning tally.

Northwestern improved to 8-1 in the Colonial League as the Tigers swept visiting Saucon Valley.
Leah Nagle (11 kills) and Anna Ebeling (eight kills) both were strong at the net for the winners, who return to action Wednesday against Catasauqua.
Kayla Schaffer finished with 33 assists, while Nagle also added 14 digs.
