Former Northwestern Lehigh standout Justin Holmes found the end zone in Pittsburgh’s 45-17 win over Central Michigan Saturday.
Holmes, a two-time Times News/Lehigh Valley Health Network Football Player of the Year (2021, 2022), caught a 12-yard touchdown pass – his first with the Panthers – in the second quarter to give the Panthers a 14-3 lead.
The senior tight end, who enrolled at Pitt in May after his transfer from Marshall, finished with two catches for 25 yards.
Pitt (2-0) travels to West Virginia for the 108th edition of the “Backyard Brawl” this weekend.
