Northwestern’s girls soccer team and the Panther Valley volleyball squad both posted wins on Thursday to keep their records undefeated.
The Tigers and Panthers each gained their victories against Blue Mountain.
BOYS SOCCER
Saucon Valley-Jim Thorpe
Jim Thorpe rebounded from its first loss of the season — and a halftime deficit — to gain a 3-1 Colonial League victory over Saucon Valley.
The Olympians trailed 1-0 at the break, but scored three times in the second half to earn the victory.
Hayden Meckes tallied twice for the winners, while Matteo Cacco added a goal and an assist.

In a matchup of undefeated teams, Northwestern blanked Blue Mountain 3-0 in a non-league contest.
The Tigers received goals from three different players — Mykaela Yanders, Juliet Snyder and Sophia Schaffer — to push their record to 5-0.
Schaffer also added an assist, as did Kiersten Klein and Amelia Glassberg.
NW keeper Olivia Reinhart made five saves to gain the shutout.

Marian sent Williams Valley to its first defeat of the season, and won its third straight in a Schuylkill League sweep over the Vikings.
Alena Lombardo led the Fillies with 12 kills, while Isabella Horvat added 10 digs and two aces.

After dropping the first set, unbeaten Panther Valley rallied to win three straight for a 3-1 Schuylkill League victory over Blue Mountain.
Caroline Breslin collected 12 digs, and became the school’s all-time leader in that category when she reached 948. Breslin also added seven kills.
PV’s Morgan Orsulak finished with 26 kills, while JaeLynn Browdy collected 24 assists.
