‘Rock and Roll Up Your Sleeve’ at SteelStacks

Miller-Keystone Blood Center (MKBC) welcomes the community to a special performance by Lehigh Valley musician Craig Thatcher and his band on Thursday, Aug. 28, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Levitt Pavilion SteelStacks in Bethlehem at 789 E. First St. The evening of music and lifesaving awareness is part of the Levitt Pavilion SteelStacks 2025 Summer Concert Series, presented by Lehigh Valley Health Network.

“It’s hard to find folks in the Lehigh Valley who don’t know the name Craig Thatcher,” said Krista Hill, MKBC’s community engagement manager. “Craig has been a staple on the regional music scene since the 1990s. He has performed in nearly every state in the nation, and has traveled worldwide to entertain audiences, educate artists and serve as a musical ambassador.

“We are so excited for his Aug. 28 performance, and so very grateful that he is partnering with us to promote our lifesaving mission.”

To commemorate the event, MKBC has designed a limited-edition “Rock and Roll Up Your Sleeve with Craig Thatcher” T-shirt. The exclusive shirt will be given to all presenting donors who visit one of MKBC’s fixed-site donor centers (Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton or Hamilton) through Aug. 28; simply mention Group Code E360 to receive a shirt after your blood donation.

A blood drive will also be taking place on-site at SteelStacks on event day from 2-7:30 p.m. Individuals donating at this blood drive will also receive the limited-edition “Rock and Roll Up Your Sleeve” T-shirt, while supplies last, according to Hill.

In addition to MKBC and the Levitt Pavilion SteelStacks, the event is supported by CarePatrol, First Commonwealth Federal Credit Union and Kitchen Magic.

To schedule a lifesaving blood donation, visit the MKBC website at GIVEaPINT.org, download the MKBC app for your Android or Apple device, or call 800-B-A-DONOR (223-6667) ext. 2.
