The Pleasant Valley School Board approved the following personnel items last week:
• Change to current assignment — Donna Lamb, from full-time custodian at PVIS to part-time courier districtwide, replacing Allen Kistler (resigned); Avery Cabral, full-time custodian, PVHS, change in hours, replacing William Calhoun (change of assignment); and Victoria Weaver, part-time food service employee, change in hours, replacing Natasha Hoover (resigned).
• Hiring of professional staff — Gabriella Zingales, grade 5 teacher, PVIS, Step 1, $52,642, effective Aug. 20, replacing Amanda Menghini (resigned); Tabatha Szivos, special education teacher, PVHS, Step 4; $64,242, effective Aug. 20, replacing Steve Krechel (retired).
• Hiring of support staff — Kayla Lindsay, building secretary, PVIS, $34,446, effective Aug. 25, replacing Jodi Swanson (change of assignment); Makayla Doerbecker, food service employee, PVES, $13.47, replacing Victoria Weaver (change of assignment); Rhonda Beers, building secretary, PVMS, $34,446, effective Aug. 18, replacing Gwendolyn Harris (resigned); Dorothy Lauchnor, building secretary, PVMS, $34,446, effective Aug. 18, replacing Julia Mininger (resigned); and Landon Melcher, paraprofessional, PVES, $27,586, effective Aug. 18, replacing Corrine Morris.
• Resignation — Melissa L’Heureux, food service worker, PVIS, effective Aug. 4.
• Retirement — Holly Wilds, bookkeeper, administration, effective Sept. 12.
• Supplemental contracts: athletic — James Frable and Christopher Frable, wrestling, junior high assistants, Step 2, $4,371 and Step 3, $4,437 respectively; and Christen Strohl, cheerleading, middle school adviser, Step 1, $4,373.
• Supplemental contracts: nonathletic (2025-26 school year) — middle school audio visual coordinator adviser, Christopher Jarrow, $3,255; middle school musical director — spring, Rhonda Sawyer, $2,450; middle school musical assistant director — spring, Aubrey Sawyer, $1,670; high school drama assistant director — fall, Jennifer Haberman, $2,150; and high school drama assistant director — fall, Elaine Cucci, $2,150.
• Supplemental contracts correction: nonathletic (2025-26 school year) — high school drama assistant director — fall, approved on June 23, change to high school drama director — fall adviser, Rhonda Sawyer, $2,950; and high school Diversity Club, Danielle Brandes, $650, approved on May 22, corrected to co-advisers, Danielle Brandes and Jamie Hyde, $650 (split stipend).
