State police at the Hazleton barracks said one person died and there were several serious injuries after a three-vehicle crash at 8:23 p.m. Sunday on Interstate 80 eastbound in Dennison Township.

Police said the crash occurred in the area of mile marker 265.8 when a passenger car traveled off the roadway and struck a vehicle that was parked on the right shoulder of the road. After the initial impact, the car became mobile in the travel lanes, where it was struck by a tractor-trailer.

Police said multiple injuries were reported.

They said they were notified Monday a passenger in the vehicle that was parked on the shoulder of the road, Amode Quadlik Allen, no age or address listed, had died from injuries in the crash.
