The use of facilities, primarily for the district’s Parent Teacher Association, was approved by the Weatherly Area School District Board of Education when it met this week.

The PTA received approval to use the middle school cafeteria for its meetings throughout the year. Sessions will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on the following dates: Sept. 16, Oct. 14, Nov. 11, Dec. 2, Feb. 10, March 10, April 14 and May 12.

Elsewhere, the PTA was granted use of the following:

Parking lot, Aug. 24, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., Chalk the Walk; parking lot, Sept. 9 and 11, 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., food truck; middle school cafeteria and gym, Oct. 24, 3 to 9 p.m., Halloween dance; middle school cafeteria, Nov. 11, 5:30 to 7 p.m., dumpling fundraiser; parking lot, Nov. 25, 12:30 to 7:30 p.m., food truck; middle school cafeteria and gym, Feb. 6, 3 to 9 p.m., Valentine’s dance; parking lot, March 30, 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., Butter Braid fundraiser; middle school cafeteria, April 11, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., purse bingo; middle school LGI room, May 7 and 8, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., scholastic book fair; and middle school cafeteria and gym, May 20, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., eighth grade farewell.

In other use of facilities requests, granted were the following:

• Pre-K Counts, use the middle school cafeteria on Thursday, Aug. 14, from 6 to 8 p.m. for Parent Night.

• Boys’ high school basketball, use of middle school cafeteria, gymnasium and stage on Nov. 14, from 5 to 10 p.m. for season kickoff events.

• Wrecker varsity boys’ baseball, use of high school and middle school gym from Sept. 15 through April 30, 2026; after 2:30 p.m. during the week and between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. on weekends for baseball conditioning.

In other action, the board approved:

• A Letter of Understanding and MOU between Pathstone and the district from Aug. 20 to Aug. 19, 2026, for free early childhood education services.

• The bus/van driver list for the upcoming school year as presented by Rohrer Bus Co.

• Bus/van routes for the upcoming school year.

• The adult meal price per the recommendation of the Pennsylvania Department of Education and the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

• The 2025-2026 school lunch and à la carte menu prices.

• The 2025-2026 agreement for security services with County Security Police at a rate $25 per hour, which is 50 cents per hour over the last agreement.

• And the athletic, pre-K, elementary school, middle school, high school student, support staff, staff, WAVE parent and Chromebook handbooks, as well as the all hazards and induction plans.
