Fire companies from West Penn, New Ringgold and Walker Township were dispatched to a brush fire Wednesday morning in West Penn Township. The incident occurred around 11 a.m. near the intersection of Ridge Cup road and Hickory Lane. It appeared a downed power line may have sparked the fire in a remote heavily wooded area. Also responding was the Penn Mahoning ambulance.
