Shoppers looked for new treasures at the Penn Forest Township Volunteer Fire Co. No. 1 at their annual Flea Market and Basket Auction fundraiser on Saturday. Vendors inside and outside the fire company sold everything from clothing to dishware, from handmade bird houses to blankets. A basket auction featured 30 baskets of snacks, car care products, soaps, children’s items, crafts, and gift cards. The fire company also held a bake sale, a 50/50 drawing, and door prize drawings. The kitchen was open as well. The proceeds are used for the general upkeep of the fire company and new equipment. JAMES LOGUE JR./SPECIAL TO THE TIMES NEWS
