Hometown auxiliary raises $5K for fire company

The Hometown Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary recently donated $5,000 to the Hometown Fire Company to use toward hall repairs.

“We are fortunate to have dedicated volunteers who answer the call no matter what time of day,” said Lori Kane, auxiliary president. “They spend a lot of time training to help protect our community and those who travel through it, not to mention the fundraising efforts they also do.”

Kane said the auxiliary has hosted fundraisers such as children’s painting events and Election Day food sales to raise money for the fire company.

“We are a small but mighty group and welcome area residents to join us,” Kane said.
