Lehigh Township supervisors conducted the following business last week:
• Supervisor David Hess reported a problem at the recreational board meeting. He said, “I was not at the rec board meeting, but I got phone calls about a rec board member was cursing and out of control during the meeting.”
President Mike Jones said, “The representative from Palmerton came to give info on the Christmas lights for the tree lighting to the rec board. He was not received well or listened to at the meeting.”
Jones added, “I feel this was so embarrassing for the township.”
Supervisors agreed that all of the recreation board members must attend the Aug. 12 meeting.
• Top of the Mountain Estates extension of time was denied because they were not in attendance. Supervisors extended the plan until Aug. 31 and placed them on the agenda for Aug. 12. The project is requesting an extension to Oct. 31.
• The township was notified from the County of a number of Repository Properties are up for sale. Supervisor Cindy Miller will notify the adjacent property owners of the parcels of land that are for sale.
• Miller requested Manager Alice Rehrig to have their three-year budget ready to review at the Aug. 13 meeting.
