Joanne and George Rice of Penn Forest Township are celebrating their 50th anniversary today.

Joanne Louise Rice is the daughter of the late Dorothy and Norman Ritter of Jim Thorpe. George Alfred Rice is the son of the late Rachel and John Rice of Northampton.

They were married on July 26, 1975.

They have a daughter, Tammy, wife of Wayne F. Parent Jr.; a grandson, Shane Parent, and his wife Cassie Parent; great grandchildren, Mattison Rose Parent, 8, and Gabrielle Parent, 4, all of Penn Forest Township.

The couple will be celebration their lifetime of love by doing some small trips and just spending time together.
