The Carbon County commissioners approved or acknowledged the following personnel moves during their meeting last week.

• Appointment: Jeffrey L. Davis of Jim Thorpe, board member, tax assessment, effective July 17.

• Resignations: Clair C. Breiner of Weissport, part-time parking/meter attendant, effective July 14; and Samiyyah M. Banks of Tobyhanna, corrections officer, effective July 8.

• Prison board appointment: Justin K. Rodgers of Allentown, corrections officer, effective July 21.

• Hires: Valarie Bennett of Bethlehem and Casey M. Hanley of Lehighton, county caseworkers I, Children and Youth Services, both effective July 28; and Elizabeth R. Petrole of McAdoo, human resources assistant, effective July 21.

• Changes of status: James F. Bonner of Walnutport, from corrections officer to sergeant, effective July 7; and Regina M. D’Ancona of Nesquehoning, from juvenile probation specialist to administrative assistant I at the Emergency Management Agency, effective July 30.

• Court resignation: Renee L. Snyder of Allentown, probation officer I, adult probation, effective Aug. 1.
