Numerous people escaped injury Sunday evening in a multi-vehicle crash in the eastbound lane of Route 443 in Mahoning township. The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. about a half mile east of the Normal Square intersection. The crash involved three vehicles, one sustaining heavy rear end damage with a second vehicle receiving front end damage. The Mahoning Valley fire company responded maintaining traffic control at the scene. The Mahoning township police are investigating the incident.
