The Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau recently announced the recipients of this year’s PMVB scholarship funding, awarded on an annual basis to high school seniors and undergraduate students pursuing degrees in tourism and hospitality, as well as related fields.

Scholarships were available to East Stroudsburg University and Northampton Community College students, as well as high school or technical institute seniors from the four-county Pocono region who are entering a two-year or four-year college or university.

Local recipients are:

Jalin Burns: Carbon Career & Technical Institute, Robert Uguccioni Memorial Scholarship, $1,000.

Jonathan Duffy: Jim Thorpe Area High School, PMVB General Scholarship, $1,000.

Jaxson Strauss: Lehighton Area High School, PMVB General Scholarship $1,000.
