JULY 16, 1964

Three architectural firms submitted ideas last night to the Panther Valley Joint School Board on new high school construction at a meeting held in the Lansford High School.

In view of the anticipated heavy expenditures needed to bring the present structures up to the rigid educational standards of today, the directors have been weighing costs involved in the building of a new school.

Slides and buildings were shown last night and informative discussions were heard from representatives of Beliante and Cass, Scranton, Breslin and Ridyard, Allentown, and Everett Associates, Clarks Summit.

An enrollment of more than 2,000 pupils is expected this September from the four Panther Valley communities.
