Mr. and Mrs. Donald “Sonny” Strohl of Palmerton are celebrating their 70th anniversary today.

The couple was married on July 16, 1955.

Mrs. Strohl is the former Dorothy Graver, daughter of the late Lafayette and Beatrice Graver of Graver’s Orchards, Lehighton.

Mr. Strohl is the son of the late Earl and Marion Strohl of Strohl’s Grove, Palmerton.

They are the parents of Cheryl Formisano, wife of Ciro of Milton; Susan Parisi, wife of Joseph of Palmerton; Nancy Koch, wife of David of Lehighton; Glenn Strohl and his wife, Lori, of Palmerton; and Denise Strohl of Palmerton. They also have 15 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren, with another on the way.

The couple will be celebrating throughout the month with their children and grandchildren.
