Police say man sent inappropriate images to girl

State police at Frackville charged a Coaldale man with unlawful conduct with a minor after he allegedly sent a 13-year-old girl inappropriate images and texts on his cellphone.

Jonathan Houser, 35, also faces charges of disseminating explicit sexual material to a minor, unlawful dissemination of an intimate image, corruption of minors and harassment.

State police were contacted in February by a woman who said that Houser had been sending inappropriate messages to her then 13-year-old daughter, including a nude photograph of a woman and a photo of Houser in underwear.

The girl provided police with a copy of the messages that Houser had sent to her, saying that she thought they were weird and made her feel uncomfortable.

The girl told police that Houser sent photos of himself wearing only underwear and wrapped in a towel, and once sent her nude photos of a woman.

Police reviewed the messages. They said he texted that he had to force himself not to look at the girl when she was wearing shorts, crop tops or sports bras because “it makes me crazy.”

“You and your tiny little body are the kind of sexy that people around you only wish they could be,” Houser wrote in one message. Police also said he made mention of his genitalia in one text message, and said that he “loves the innocence of someone as young as you.”

The girl said she blocked Houser after she received photos of the nude woman.

Police obtained search warrants for the Snapchat messages and the girl’s phone.

Houser was charged and arraigned before Magisterial District Judge James Reiley. He is free after posting $25,000 cash bail.
